Short-Run CD Duplication To The Rescue
JUNE
21
2010
When
Music BC
was got stiffed by a competing CD duplication company and
needed a rush order of CDs in Jewel Cases to get them out of a
bind, CDwest.ca was happy to come to the rescue!
Music
BC administers the "Make A Case Against Racism" project
that features music and student art from within British Columbia
on behalf of the Multiculturalism and Inclusive Communities
Office, Ministry of Citizens’ Services and Minister Responsible
for Multiculturalism and the Public Affairs Bureau.
With
the official release of the project just days away (which featured
both government and school dignitaries) Music BC was horrified to
learn that the Vancouver based CD duplication company they
contracted was unable to deliver the product.
There
were only a couple of days to work with so it was determined that
100 units of product would be sufficient to get all the parties
involved through the press conference.
The
finished package consisted of:
-
Duplicated CDR discs with full colour inkjet disc print.
-
Standard jewel cases with clear trays.
-
3
panel (6 page) folded inserts, printed full colour.
-
Traycards, printed full colour.
-
Pre-press and .PDF proofs.
-
Assembly and wrap.
Music
BC was quick to provide their Master content CDR, artwork files
and Intellectual Property Rights Form so we were able to get the
pre-press done that day, get the .PDF proofs approved immediately,
and get everything into our production departments. Thus started
"Day 0" of the production process.
In two
days we had everything ready for Music BC to pick up for the
product release event and, from all we have been told, everything
went very well indeed!
While
we were happy to be of assistance and glad that everything turned
out well! :)
